Bering Air is an American airline that is responsible for removing the ice barrier between Alaska and Russia, in 1988, by operating flights between these two countries. The airline offers air service for passengers and for shipment of cargoes throughout Canada, Alaska and the remote eastern region of Russia. Private charters are also available that pick up and drop passengers as per their requirement and demands.
Bering Air has got several bases. The hubs of Bering Air are located in Kotzebue, Nome and Unalakleet. From these places the airline runs charter flights to 32 places in the western region of Alaska. Among the destinations of Bering Air are 18 villages in Nome and Unalakleet and 11 villages in Kotzebue.
