In July 15, 2004 Arkefly Curacao began its operations as a part of Dutch Caribbean Excel. Previously Dutch Caribbean Excel was an airline that used to provide services in Netherlands Antilles. It was also a part of the Exel Aviation Group.
In the later years Dutch Caribbean Excel was absorbed by TUI Netherlands and Holland Exel and was named Arkefly Curacao.
