Air Bagan was formed in June 2004 and started operating from 15 November 2004. The formation of Air Bagan is a contribution towards enhancing the air transport industry in Myanmar along with supporting the booming tourism sector. The Air Bagan domestic and international flights have experienced employees consisting of both local and domestic pilots and they are adept in handling any kinds of terrain and the harshest of weather conditions.

The destinations covered by the Air Bagan include East Asian countries like China, People's Republic of Kunming and Korea. The Southeast Asian countries include Cambodian Siem Reap followed by Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand.
