The establishment of
Pacific Blue was declared on 17th September 2003. It was the international division of the Virgin Blue which was suppose to function independently from Feb 2004 from its hub at the Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand. Following the policy of Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue was also set up as a discount airline. The Pacific Airlines began its flying operations with an initial fleet comprising of the latest Boeing 737-800 aircraft and flew between Christchurch and Brisbane.
At present Pacific Blue fleet comprises of Boeing 737-800 aircrafts and it is in the process of acquiring more such aircrafts. The Pacific Blue Services include complementary meals beverages and their trained crew and support staff ensures total comfort of their passengers.
