Air Madagascar is the national airline of the country. It was established in 1962 under the name MADAIR. It started operations the on 14th October of the same year. Later in 1963 it became Air Madagascar. It is based in Antananarivo. It underwent many problems form 200-2002. Then with the help of Lufthansa it was restructured. The Air Madagascar is owned by the Government, Air France, SONAPAR, and Assurances Nu Havana.
